The Senegalese wrestling star called out Vera moments after defeating by technical knockout in the first round kickboxing veteran Patrick “Big Swiss” Schmid on Thursday.
“I have no problem. I can meet anyone,” said Kane after beating Schmid, a replacement fighter in the first preliminary bout of ONE on TNT I on Thursday inside the cage at the Singapore indoor stadium.
The 29-year-old Kane found an opportunity to pull of the win when he kneeled next to Schmid after the latter went down on the floor as he kept on throwing punches.
Relentless with his blows, Kane stopped after referee Mohamad Sulaiman halted the contest at 1:48 of Round 1.
“I will accept any fight they give me,” said Kane, who had ONE heavyweight world champion Vera in mind after pulling off his third consecutive victory.
So far, Vera is reeling from his loss to ONE light heavyweight world title holder Aung La N Sang via TKO in the 3:23 of the second round during the ONE Championship Century II in October, 2019. Vera’s heavyweight crown was not at stake in the said fight.
Kane quickly took control and unleashed a barrage of crosses, hooks and uppercuts.
His punches connected moments after Schmid took the first round in a very cautious manner.
And Kane has been on a roll since his first fight with Sofiane Boukichou back in 2019 in Senegal.
