Kidnapped boy rescued in Pangasinan town

BANI, Pangasinan, Philippines — A five-year-old boy kidnapped in Taguig was rescued in this town on Wednesday.

Brig. Gen. Emmanuel Peralta, Ilocos police director, said yesterday the mother of the boy reported the incident on Monday.

She claimed her partner was the perpetrator and that he demanded P10,000 and threatened to behead the boy.

The suspect later surrendered to Ronald Bayna, chairman of Barangay Colayo, here.

Joint teams of the Bani and Taguig police who searched for the victim found him tied to a tree.
