COTABATO CITY, Philippines — Cocaine with an estimated street value of P5.3 million was seized by anti-narcotics agents from a suspected drug trafficker in Sitangkai, Tawi-Tawi over the weekend.
The suspect, identified as Bashir Daud, 49, is detained at the municipal police detention facility and will be charged for violating the Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, according to the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency.
A follow–up operation at the house of the suspect resulted in the recovery of a rifle, police said.
