A total of 5,487 personalities identified with terrorist groups were either arrested or killed in law enforcement operations.

“Aggressive police operations and other police interventions led to the arrest of lawless elements that somehow reduced the number of crimes that they may have committed,” PNP chief Gen. Dionardo Carlos said in a statement.

At least 10,503 people were arrested and charged for violating Republic Act 10591 or the Comprehensive Law on Firearms and Ammunition. In various operations, 25,141 loose firearms were confiscated.
